Megablitz is specifically aimed at the recreation of Operational Art level warfare on the tabletop.

As a result, Megablitz falls somewhere between the conventinal board or map game and the normal brigade or divisional-level wargame that uses large numbers of figure and model vehicles. It borrows the best from each genre, combining the simplicity of a single combat resolution system from the board game with the use of easily identifiable and tactile models as used in traditional ‘toy-soldier’ games. As such, it should appeal to a wide range of wargamers.
